Anyone here bought or started a business with 5-10k and if so how’s it going now and any advice on how you did it? Looking for a mentor really or any solid advice
We started with just a laptop and dream. 7 years later, still here, still growing and carving out market share in our niche. Still a micro enterprise tho.

15 years ago I spent $1299 buying the franchise/licensees agreement to operate a niche business in my state with basically no other experience to get started. My best year I did 4m+ with 10 employees it’s not a niche business anymore I have major competition across the country but I still manage to do over 1m a year with 1 employee and make a great living.

I started with less than that. What mattered wasn’t the amount, it was how focused the deployment was. Most people spread 5-10k across too many things and learn slowly.
The advice I’d give is this: pick one model, one channel, and one metric to optimize before spending more. That’s how you survive long enough to win.
Out of curiosity, are you trying to build cash flow fast or something long-term you can scale?
