Currently have 3 credit cards. Fico score around 750. I pay my balances on time and use each card at least couple times a year to keep them active and maintain history.

One cc with a $5k limit (originally a secured credit that was converted to a regular visa card and no bonus or incentives. This is my oldest card.

Second is the US Bank altitude go visa card. Credit limit of $16,500. This is a groceries/restaurant/subscription based card.

Third is Chase Preferred visa with a 9k limit (wanted a travel card and got the 100k points SUB).

Considering a 4th card: Wells Fargo Cashback. I don't need a new card given my spending habits and frugal living but want to increase credit limits and have a third FI with credit history.

I like to save aggressively but get best points for travel and looking into better cashback options. Seeking to build credit for future home loans. What would you do, think this is a decent idea or other CC suggestions?

Debate over if I should get 4th CC

    1. Seems like a waste to get a card line that if you’re spending patterns already fit your existing cards. If you’re going to get more cards, they should either fit some new spending pattern in your life, or have a big signup bonus. No sense in getting one to expand your credit limit, really.
