i'm 32 and thinking it might be time to finally get some life insurance. i’ve been reading a bit about whole life policies but honestly it’s kind of confusing with all the different options and companies. i’ve never had any insurance besides health stuff and i want something that will last long term and maybe even build some cash value.

does anyone here have experience with whole life insurance recently? how did you choose the company and the policy? i keep seeing things about premiums being super high if you wait too long, so should i try to lock something in this year for 2026? also, how much should i really expect to pay monthly for a decent plan?

i’m also wondering, is it worth looking at a policy that has investment components or just stick to basic whole life? any tips on what to ask the agent before committing would be super helpful too.

what’s worked for you guys and what did you wish you knew before signing up?

whole life insurance 2026: which policies actually make sense and which ones are a waste?
