Hi everyone, about two weeks ago my wallet was drained for over $840k, it is my life savings and I’m actually devastated. I’ve been trying all I can with onchain investigators to freeze CEX/recover anything but no result so far… My hacker is using TornadoCash and GoblinSwap / ChangeNOW to make it untraceable/buy monero (anonymous currency) is there really no way to freeze it?
Before you ask me: No, I do not know how this happened, I always was very cautious and do not really know how it happened.
I got drained for $840k. Hacker is swapping to Monero

Depends where you had your wallet tbh; IMO for a wallet you should always use a yubikey etc. for human intervention to open the wallet and/or transfer money. But whats done is done, if it gets transferred into monero, It’ll be gone

You just realized that the transaction system does not rely on trust there’s no third party to reimburse you.
840k is a lot of money
