When I consolidated in summer 2024, the SAVE plan went on whatever pause/suspension it's been on because of the court case. I have had to call every 60+ days to tell mohela to put my account back in administrative forbearance because of the pending SAVE application.
I had to call again last week and I got spooked because mohela seemed to think that wasn't happening anymore because of the 12/9 court filing about a settlement/agreement. I reminded them that wasn't finalized and, after getting the answer from the supervisor, the call center rep put my loans back in admin forbearance but told me that the application was going to be denied because of the court case's filing/agreement.
Fine, great, whatever. But is anyone else in this crazy limbo, calling mohela to extend the admin forbearance while the SAVE pause continues?
Anyone else with pending SAVE application still calling to extend admin forbearance?

They have slowly begun denying any pending SAVE applications (at least they’ve definitely started denying applications that selected “lowest monthly payment”). You would stay in whatever plan you are currently on unless you apply for something else.
I would suggest applying to go on an active IDR plan instead.
Fundamentally with federal loans your options are 1) aggressive repayment, 2) PSLF or similar employer based forgiveness programs, or 3) IDR plan based forgiveness. If you’re going for PSLF or IDR based forgiveness? Then time in forbearance doesn’t help you
