I was informed that my loans were due before 2026, and there was no communication indicating that my account would be considered past due. When the first past-due status was reported on November 30, I immediately contacted Nelnet. At that time, I was told my account was in good standing and that payments under my approved payment plan are scheduled to begin on January 6, 2026. Nelnet reported my account as 60 days past due to both TransUnion and Experian, causing my credit score to drop by nearly 200 points. I have already uploaded the supporting documentation to Experian. Tonight, I received another notification that my credit score has dropped again due to Nelnet. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Anyone else dealt with Nelnet false past-due reports?

Do you possibly have loans you aren’t aware of? Nelnet has branched into 2 websites, one for direct loans and one for commercial FFEL loans ([Sloan Servicing](https://sloanservicing.com/welcome))
Double check your studentaid.gov account to see what type of loans you have and who the servicer is for each.
Also what status do you see when you log into your Nelnet account? Is it showing current or delinquent?
Same. I don’t know who is reviewing these disputes but they are messing them up and I feel they aren’t even reading what I’m saying or the evidence I give. I keep sending disputes with more evidence and they keep saying “confirmed accurate” which is causing my score to bounce like a pogo due to “reinvestigation” statues.
