I think you mean the US electorate and it’s access to a free and independent press is being sold out from under it.
You can’t have a functioning democracy, without an informed electorate. In particular when the majority of the US population is fed a steady feed of propaganda and disinformation from Fox and Newsmax.

This is ALL about midterm elections 2026. The medium is the message, as they say. THEY, as in, the cloister of billionaires surrounding Trump, are desparate to tip the scales in their favor. Midterm election results will hang on a knife edge….they do not want a repeat of Mamdani.

The trump regime is facilitating this consolidation.
There is no sacrificial network. They are being bought up to change their messaging to become trump’s state tv.
