How to start

Hello everyone, so I'd appreciate a little help
So my father challenged me to do crypto, he's going to open an account for me and for himself with 50€-50€ and whoever has more money by the end of a time frame, wins
So I don't know a lot about crypto at all, all I know is that it's basically investment and there are some block chains to verify transactions, that miners exist and the more equations they solve the more money they make and that a long time ago a few people became millionaires because of bitcoins and that's basically it
I'd need some help, does anyone have any recommendations where/how to start?
