Thought it would be fun if we all do a little year-end recap of some stocks we sold this year and somestocks we plan to buy next year, since so many posts are about what to buy. I don't usually sell stocks, but my holdings had become quite lengthy and not very well balanced, so I decided to do a little consolidation.
I sold :
everything related to drone,
some high beta AI qtum stocks,
and nuclears, all of them.
some oil stocks
some pharma
plan to buy in 2026 sector:
Industrial
financials
and stay in cash until vol goes to 35

I bought some industrials too and some defense stocks
Sold Crypto at the advice of a friend who is an expert. Plan to start looking for a rebuy around next fall. Unsure about my buys. Likely more chill smart ETFs.
I will probably buy into OpenAI and SpaceX. Maybe Cerebras too.
Aerospace, AI, and Semis are basically our era’s version of Steel, Oil and Coal.
Nuclear energy- OKLO is way oversold

i absolutely do not hold any drone stocks – but i did recently see a post about USA govt outlawing all foreign made drones.
(for what its worth – i worked in missile defense for us military for more than 20+++ yrs – i don’t think drone companies are going to amount to alot of profit long term – but, thats just like my opinion man)

At this point I feel I have added enough to my individual positions through this year’s volatility specifically Reddit. Very recently I loaded up on more Meta for the long haul and also bought some Netflix. I’m hoping to just pile all extra money into my VTI + VXUS positions for 2026.
