About as out of touch as any billionaire is, expected. Just adopt single payer like the rest of the world instead of being the idiot step child of the planet America

He does have a point- a doc used to receive money from a patient. Now our healthcare dollars are divvied across thousands of for profit employees, paying for underwriters, lawyers, advertising, etc. some of which trickles to the actual service provider only if they enter the correct billing code.
Some of those expenses are awesome some are bloat.

Yeah. Ask the doctors how long they’ll stay in practice that way.

Hey doctor, how much is the MRI?
“Well, we have to pay to use it because no doctor can afford to buy one outright. That’ll be 15k up front”

That is not a solution for anything other than killing off old people and taking all of their fucking money all in one go. Go fuck yourself Mark. Go fuck yourself.
Medicare for all.

He’s right about part of the problem. Too many profit seeking middlemen.
But he’s wrong about the other half. 40% of adult Americans have less than $1000 available across all accounts. They simply cannot afford any medical expenses.
And he’s ignoring something too (on purpose, because it would be bad for his business).
If US had universal healthcare, the government would negotiate service and drug prices directly with a natural monopoly. This could easily cut US medical costs by 2/3. No insurance companies, no PBMs, no drug companies ripping us off charging 3X the price in Canada.
He doesn’t want that because it would cut into his profits. All medical providers and drug resellers would become fixed profit entities.

Will insurance companies be nonprofit again?

A plan for a billionaire who never learned the prices of anything, as money don’t exist in his thoughts for such purposes, they are for investments, fancy cars, yachts. He doesn’t grasp the idea of not being able to pay a bill.

The only thing I want from the 50s regarding a doctor is them doing house calls. THAT needs to come back.
Same with cops WALKING their beat instead of driving. Getting to know who’s in the neighborhood (yes I know there are still a select few who do, but it’s dying out).
