The NHTSA confirmed on Wednesday that it will conduct an investigation into complaints about the mechanical door releases of 2022 Tesla (TSLA) Model 3 vehicles. The investigation will cover 179,071 vehicles.
    Investigate defects in the mechanical door release mechanism. Tesla (TSLA) shares fell 1.0% in early trading on Wednesday.

    3. I personally feel like battery powered doors are a terrible idea even it comes to escaping a lithium fire. Then desperately trying to locate a terribly placed manual release during that scenario; should cause your stock price to go down more than 1%.

      But it’s okay, they have shitty robotaxis that aren’t really even to market yet outside a few token places, and they have people drivers, so it’s just a … taxi, but just more complicated?
