I’ve been really planning my future for my family and I. My goal is to do 20+ years in the military, find a part time job on base overseas(benefits to stay in country), and live off my pension, disability, brokerage dividends, and part time salary to enjoy an early retirement.
Currently have 175k in a CD(4.46%) that matures in March. Plan on DCAing into my brokerage that has 37k in mostly VOO and SCHG.
16.5k in Roth IRA(VOO)
98k in Roth TSP
Heavily investing into my brokerage to grow in these next 12-13 years for compound interest and semi-liquidity for when I get out of the military and am able to really start using the money. Really excited for the life I am building for my family and I but keeping my head down and grinding for the time being.
On track. 29 y/o with 9 years in.

As with any fire plan, I’d be interested in seeing your broken down monthly Budget, fire number, and safe withdrawal rate (swr). Also the countries you’re considering and if you’ve fully examined their long-stay visa requirements.
Minus the family piece, I plan on doing the same thing. My breakdown is a little different as I’ve got a couple of houses, but essentially same plan. Seems like you’re on track. Does your spouse work? But man does it seem so freeing to have work be optional when you get out.
