So, I'm a uni student in the UK as everyone probably knows I'm broke and always looking to save some money. I have been looking for an affordable but easy way to wash clothes mainly underwear. I've been hand washing for 3 months and it is rather tiering and my joints hurt afterwards especially when wringing the clothes out. So my question is are there any good quality products our there that aren't crazy expensive that may help? I've seen these portable foldable washing machines that have like a 5 liter capacity but I'm worried about buying one as I've seen reviews that the rubber bit breaks easily and the motor is not strong enough. Furthermore, I've looked into hand powered washing machines but they all seem to be quite expensive. My biggest struggle with getting a small washing machine is that I only have a sink at my disposal as I live in shared accomodations and therefore have a communal shower.

TLDR I only have a sink and need a better way at washing clothes than hand washing that's not too expensive.

Edit I know I spelled washing wrong.

    1. I can’t think of the name but there’s a device that is similar to a plunger that you could use to churn your clothes in a bucket or basin.

    2. Is there a community center in your area that would have a washing machine for you to use? Maybe just going once every two weeks may be possible.

    3. The two universities i went to both had washing and drying machines available for free. Ask student services for help

    4. I went to university in the US, but most dorms had either free or paid washer and dryers. What saved me money was buying Shout Color Catchers (they’re available on Amazon in the UK too) because it catches loose dye in the wash, so you can mix whites and colors and do a bigger load. Hope that helps you.
