i am very curious to hear from builders or anyone who has worked on small structures. i am not talking about big structural changes but small decisions that ended up saving maintenance or replacement costs over time. things that didn’t seem important initially but paid off later. would be interesting to hear real examples from different types of builds

    1. Not a builder but when I bought my house the gutter downspouts emptied pretty close to the house and our realtor told us to put extensions on them asap. We did it and haven’t been in the house long but our realtor and inspector stressed anything we can do to move water away from the house will extend the longevity of the foundation
