Both offer price matching so it’s more up to your redemption uses, personally CSR has points boost so theoretically it could have better point based redemptions directly but ymmv

If it’s a round trip, use Amex for 5x points, if it’s a one way, use Chase, as Amex doesn’t cover you on one way bookings. Unfortunately learned this the hard way…

What’s more “valuable” is totally dependent on an individual’s personal lifestyle and finances. So no one can really give a definitive answer as to what may be more valuable to YOU. Based strictly on the metric you just stated, the platinum earns 5x on flights booked direct vs 4x so the platinum wins in that regard.
Outside of that, you’re looking at 2 different point ecosystems with differing transfer partners. I find Amex valuable to me because I use every credit the platinum offers with the exception of equinox. I also fly Delta nearly exclusively and prefer Hilton and Marriott properties. But that’s me. Someone else who may prefer to fly United and stay at Hyatt properties would value the CSR more than the Platinum.
