I understand that the cash rate for a lounge visit is typically around $50–70. As far as I know, both Visa and Mastercard use DragonPass, and Amex does as well in some cases.
I’m curious — what do you think Visa actually pays per lounge visit on the backend for access that’s included with their cards?
How much do card issuers pay for lounge access?

Probably works out to pennies per person for the population of cardholders considering the majority don’t use the benefit; maybe $10 per actual visit?
For Priority Pass, it’s something like $8-15 per visit depending on issuer. I have a friend whose company gives PP to all traveling employees, and they pay $15 per visit, so I figure major card issuers pay even less.
Not card related, but airline lounge access is a lot more expensive, and oneworld airlines can pay upwards of $100 for access to partner first class lounges.
