as the title says I travel for work a lot. i don't necessarily fly for work a lot but I would guess I'm going to fly 6-7 times a year not including personal trips. I do drive (rentals cars) a lot and stay over nights a lot. Typically, 1-2 weeks a month of travel. With that being said i have started with three CC's to stack points better. I started with the Chase Sapphire as my research showed me that's it's the best (my research could stink thought) and then moved on to a Southwest card. The southwest card to me pays for itself if i travel once with my family as 1st bags are free. I just recently opened up a hilton card for hotels. My idea is to use SW card for flights only…then Hilton for hotels but after that im not sure whats best to maximize travel. when I rent cards i stick with Enterprise to stack points.
- Current cards: Southwest, Hilton, and chase sapphire.
- FICO Score: 770ish
- Oldest account age: over 10-12 years
- Income: e.g. $100,000 plus commission (150-175k probably)
- Average monthly spend and categories:
- dining $400
- groceries: $500
- gas: $200
- travel: $200 but who my job helps pays for some travel
- mortgage: $2000
- Open to Business Cards: not sure if I can. I work from home when i travel but i am an employee at the end of the day.
- What's the purpose of your next card? Maximize points and usage.
- Do you have any cards you've been looking at? nothing more than what i mentioned above.
- Are you OK with category spending, or do you want a general spending card? yes i am ok with anything that maximizes benefits!
Best Combination of CC's to maximize traveling for work.

I assume by chase sapphire you mean the reserve.
If you book directly with airlines/hotels or in the Chase portal the CSR is good for maximizing travel as long as you can use the other credits easily to offset the AF.
Your spend/travel to me looks like the Amex system might be good for you. Like a gold/plat combo. But I know there is more overlap between the two with new plat changes.
You have the Hilton card so I am also assuming you like to stay there but your Chase points are well used transferred to Hyatt. I know some people combo the Hyatt card with their Chase cards.
The Venture X is also a great travel card in general and so easy to offset the AF for. The Venture X/Savor combo is also a good one to look into.
