We still don’t really know what Elon Musk’s Doge actually did

    1. It was a data heist and regulatory destruction for his businesses. It also resulted in the destruction of the entire American soft power mechanism.

    2. Of course we do. He stole as much data as he possibly could, didn’t cut spending near the trillion dollars promised, and stripped the government of good will programs that contributed to us being leaders on the world stage.

      THEY TOOK OUR DATA

This is the most reasonable assumption given their heinous, vile, despicable and slimy nature. Everything Elon touches is slimed.

Every Federal investigation of Musk and his companies was squelched, he got massive Federal contracts, and the government spends more than ever.

    5. Stole tons of US data and destroyed the US government organizations who were owed hundreds of millions of dollars by that man.

A win for Musk, total ruin for the United States of America.

    6. DoGE was clearly ahead of its time. Trying to imitate the super-successful Argentinian government, they brought in Musk who recently fired 80% of Twitter while making it work more efficiently.

He was met with HUGE resistance. Poor guy came in, guns blazing with a deep autistic desire to get-things-done and he ran into every legal obstacle possible. Not only that, but progressives started burning Tesla dealerships and scratching Tesla cars as a result of him being there. Pretty much destroying any hopes of bringing in private-sector hi-tech people coming into government to help out.

      What was achieved? Two perspectives:

      a) Not much

      b) Got a massive ball-of-mud rolling in exposing fraud and massive unaccountable government-funded NGOs schemes.

Meaning, we will only know the achievements in some years time, but we can see some of them now, like in the case of Somalian day-care fraud.

Yes we do! Stole our data from social security, IRS and general info! Cost more than they saved and will ruin all of us if we don’t comply! Kindergarten shit!

Well I for one was working at the USGS and got laid off (along with 40 percent of the other staff) because of “inefficiency”.

We literally do not spend money on anything other than the exact things necessary for our jobs. How else are you supposed to monitor seismic regions? Maybe they tried to get an AI to do it. Either way, left me with a very sour taste.

I have friends that worked in the NWS that also got laid off by DOGE. Guess what happened? Texas had unwarned flooding that killed dozens of kids because the local NWS offices did not have the staff to fully map out the precipitation ratios and flood charts.

    9. 1. Stole every US citizen’s data

      2. Killed any aid program that would benefit foreign countries that have black populations

      3. Put the groundwork in for a dystopian nightmare

    10. This was a private intelligence operation. This guy has a back door to everything – the past, present and everything the US Government uses for future decisions. He’s right there, looking over the shoulder as things happen in real time. He can predict the markets, he can evade investigations. he can sell this information.

    11. It achieved nothing. Elon has openly talked about this a lot. As much as others want to say it was a data heist (can’t prove it wasn’t). He’s said that the backlash he faced by so many other politicians benefiting from greed and corruption of stupid schemes made it quite impossible.

If you start blocking funds from those that have power and have been benefiting from it for a long time, they will do anthring to stop it.

Why do you think he and trump fell out? Trump was all for it until it threatened his presidency or ability to do anything.

At the same time, who else in recent history has shown any inclination to reduce Americas debt as much as Elon, and he’s ‘just a single rich dude’. As a non American, we all know how corrupt that country is and can be.

If any other American really cared, why is Elon the only one who has genuinely tried anything of this nature?

In theory, what he tried to accomplish was amicable. In reality, it was impossible because it didn’t benefit those in power, corruption, and pure greed.

Just my 2 cents. But what do I know? I’m just a random on the Internet like the rest of us. We will NEVER know the real reason.
