My grandfather died without leaving a will or naming to whom will his properties go. That led my mom to go apply for the property to get sold by the court. She has been applying for the last 4 years and to no avail, the properties never got sold and there were no bidders during the auction.
There are two properties getting sold, one is a villa in Daoudiate near a park and the other one is a house in Hay Al Bahja. The villa is estimated for 270 million and the house is 53. The prices might go down the next time we reapply and they're in very great areas.
We have gone around and informed local realtors (idk the right term) so if anyone is interested in buying to come to the court the day they'll hold the auction. Most of the time we get calls that people will be coming but no one comes.
I think that is because people are scared of these properties since in most cases the families selling them are disputing, but it's the court that is selling them and the buyers are under the courts protection and all the procedures are legal (again since it's the court that's selling them).
How do I help in getting these properties sold? And how do I best explain that the court is involved in all the procedures?
Are there any other ways I can find buyers interested?
If any of you has any advice or information or need further information please do share. I'll be most grateful.
