Bitcoin has two key dates considered its "birthday": October 31, 2008, when Satoshi Nakamoto published the whitepaper.
And the other date is January 3, 2009, when Satoshi mined the "genesis block," marking the official start of the network.
Therefore, the launch of the concept in October and the launch of the code in January are celebrated, commemorating its anniversary each year on both dates, especially in January.
