Had 6k in credit card debt and 7k in savings, and instead of paying off the cards, I put the 7k into the market. Worst decision ever, now I’m down to about 3.5k and I’m stuck wondering if I should pull it out at a loss and pay off what I can, or just hold. I’m 21 and started investing when I was 19. I bought PLTR, SOFI, NVIDIA, and some other solid stuff around May 2023 and honestly thought I was just a great investor. Then I had to sell at a decent profit to buy a car for college.
I started again recently after saving up some money. Normally I just pay off my cards, but I had the “genius” idea to throw it into the market, make a shit ton, and then wipe out the debt and keep the difference. Clearly that didn’t work and the logic was retarded. The fact I could lose so hard in a bull market like this is embarrassing I just went too hard on random stocks and stopped investing started gambling

Glorious leader
3 months?
Motherfucker I could do that in 3 minutes.
A sane investment advice is to pay off high interest debt first.
“I’ll succeed where this guy failed” – people about to serve themselves bigger losses than him
OR
you went on r/valueinvesting, didn’t you? I studied it and I’m pretty sure 80% of the tickers they talk about are down after 6 months. The more text someone on that sub uses the more likely the stock is to be down.
Put it all on Black
Pull it out, but let’s be honest you won’t until your down to a few hundred bucks.
I’ve lost quadruple that in 10 minutes lmao
“started investing when i was 19”
Hey, credit card debt is like 25% APY, markets will make you 10% yearly generously. You’re losing money keeping it invested purely cause of the compounding debt. Pay it off, when that high interest debt is out of the field, then start investing again
Why didn’t you do it the other way where the line has a green color?
Those are rookie numbers, you gotta pump those numbers up
Wow doing better than most of wsb then.
always pay off debt
Buy high sell low. Wait for it to get to around $1k then sell.
Do it much faster next time, rookie.
Can you get a cash advance from the credit card to buy the dip?
Rookie numbers
It should be vice versa, you know?

You could’ve just bought a spy leap for a basically guaranteed 100%-500% gain and instead chose this. Godspeed retard
Those are rookie numbers in this racket.
Your 21. You will make it back x1000. Don’t sweat it. Take a breath. Get a side job for 2-3months & you will make it all back & then some. I made & lost this much 4 times over in tonight’s game. Chill, it’s all good.
