Florida? I’m sure her homeowners insurance is skyrocketing too.

But she only cares now when it affects her. We have an empathy crisis in the USA

To be clear, democrats passed a bill dramatically expanding subsidies because of the pandemic and that law said the expanded subsidies expire on Jan 1 2026. Republicans didn’t want to keep spending more money, so they opted to not do anything. They didn’t *cut* anything.
When government subsidizes something the relative price goes down (because it’s subsidized) but if that ever goes away you’d be paying more than if they’d just never subsidized. Companies don’t charge less because the government stopped subsidizing all of a sudden

They don’t care about you now, never have cared and never will care. Vote for people who actually care about you.
