      Don’t think china will lose out on the oil investment, all the oil from Venezuela will eventually go somewhere else, china is a big market. Maybe trump just did china a favour by removing sanctions and improving security in the region.

      Yes Venezuelan production was already mortgaged to repay China. However… the Chinese companies just sold most of it to US refineries.

      The rule of international law arrived at its deathbed the day Russia invaded Ukraine, and it exhaled its final breath moments before US helicopters raided Venezuela.

      Whatever rules and norms have been governing the international order since the end of the Cold War are out the fucking window.
