I’ve been an indie dev for years, and I noticed a toxic pattern in how software is built today.

    1. Social Apps (Instagram/TikTok) monetize your Insecurity. They trap you in infinite feeds to sell ads.
    2. Productivity Apps (Notion/Google) monetize your Data. They track your personal goals to train AI models.

    I decided to opt out.

I spent the last 6 months building an "Anti-Big Tech Ecosystem." Two apps that work together to handle the two states of the human mind: Feeling and Doing.

Here is how they compare to the giants:

PART 1: The Logic Layer (DoMind)

    Replacing: Notion, Google Tasks, Todoist

The problem with modern productivity apps is Noise. They want you to "Collaborate," "Sync," and "Share."

I built DoMind to be an Offline-First Vault.

vs. Notion: Notion is a web-wrapper that lags on mobile. DoMind is Native (Swift/Kotlin) and opens instantly.

vs. Google: Google mines your data. DoMind stores data locally on your device (Encrypted).

The Innovation: I replaced "Lists" with "Node Trees." Life isn't linear. DoMind visualizes your routines as dependency flows (see image).

Model: $2.99/mo (The "Privacy Tax"). I charge you so I don't have to sell you.

PART 2: The Emotion Layer (Moodie)

    Replacing: Instagram, Twitter, TikTok

The problem with social media is Performance. You post to look good.

I built Moodie to be a "Reverse Social Network."

vs. Instagram: No photos. No profiles. No influencers.

    vs. Twitter: No rage-bait algorithm.

The Innovation: "Vibe Matching." You tap "Anxious" > You match anonymously with someone else "Anxious." You talk. You leave.

Model: Free (Ad-supported) because mental health support should be accessible to everyone.

    The Result

By splitting "Chaos" (Moodie) and "Order" (DoMind) into two separate apps, I’ve found that I can finally disconnect from the Big Tech algorithms.

I have ~1,600 users on Moodie finding connection, and ~250 users on DoMind finding focus (launched last week)

I’m betting my career that people are ready to own their data and their mental health again.

I realized "Big Tech" breaks our brains in two ways: Doomscrolling and Data Mining. So I built my own "Human OS" to fix both.
