One of the lace loops on these shoes broke and I can’t figure out how to repair it. The other loops all look like they’ll break in the same way too. Unfortunately it’s not as easy as replacing the laces this time.
Any fixes or workarounds? Despite how beat up they look I really haven’t worn them all that much and don’t want to throw them away as they were quite pricey.

An eyelet setting tool, just run the eye through the flap
Might ask over on r/invisiblemending
Reinforce them with strong white tape then punch new holes?
If you are not trying to keep an original look. Then grommets are my solution.
The lace loops are sewn on.
I would just sew on new loops.
You can probably handle sewing something over what’s there, provided you have the right equipment. It will be hidden when the shoe is on your foot anyway, so you don’t have to be all that neat (but I would make sure it is strong).
Shoe repair tends to use a sewing awl. You might be able to get away with a canvas or tapestry needle, but it’s going to be very hard to get through all those layers… If you try any needle without a handle, also buy hand/finger protection. A solid like metal or plastic, not leather (the needles go right through it when sewing heavy fabric anyway).
You can probably find pre-made loops made of nylon webbing or woven fabric. It would help if you could measure for size.
Or, you could see if there was a nearby cobbler willing to do it. But some of them only do leather and hate the sewing, so ymmv. Good luck! It’s a pretty easy type of repair.
