I applied a week ago and got denied due to “Not enough established consumer credit history” and no accounts with chase. For reference I’ve only had my discover student card for 9 months with a score of 771. Should I apply again when my history turns 1 year old?

Nah don’t reapply that soon, Chase is notorious for the 5/24 rule and being picky about thin files. I’d wait at least 6 months before trying again, maybe get another card in between to thicken up your profile first
any reason you want that card you might try getting the cap one savor
If you can find one Open a zero fee account with them. Get your regular deposits or deposit 500-2k and then reapply. They also have great checking account bonuses can send you referral
Chase will generally always deny applicants with less than one year of credit history and no banking relationship.
The Freedom Rise could be an option, as standards are generally lower since it’s aimed at students and first time card holders. It will automatically upgrade itself to a CFU after a year in good standing.
What exactly interests you about the CFU? It’s a relatively poor choice unless you value UR points *and* have a premium Chase travel card that lets you transfer them.
I’d recommend opening a checking account prior to applying again to create/strengthen a relationship with Chase. There’s a $300 offer going right now. This is an easy way to get a “leg up” when dealing with bank/lenders that are a little more cautious
