An overhaul of US childhood immunisation guidelines has dropped the number of vaccines the CDC recommends from 17 to 10.
The new list of recommended vaccines, issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, includes polio and measles vaccines but others such as hepatitis A and B, and Covid vaccines are recommended based on risk and "shared clinical decision-making" between doctors and parents, the announcement said.
The overhaul is the latest sweeping policy change made under the Trump administration by health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.
Kennedy said the new rules came "after an exhaustive review" and "protects children, respects families, and rebuilds trust in public health."

Here we go. I can’t wait for eradicated diseases to reemerge.

This actually does the opposite of the statement above. This also impacts health care costs, as insurance companies do not have to cover the seven vaccines dropped from the recommended list.
While I support having Covid-19 vaccines available, there should be “informed consent” so that people considering the vaccine can make an informed decision.
First and foremost, these vaccines are deemed “experimental” because they are sold under the [PREP Act(pdf)](https://public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2024-29108.pdf ‘The Secretary issues this amendment … to extend the duration of the Declaration to December 31, 2029Liability protections … are in effect for the Recommended Activities described in Section III.’) which limits the liability of vaccine makers in the event of an adverse result from taking the vaccine. The protection has been extended through end of 2029.
>The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness
(PREP) Act authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services (the Secretary) to issue a
Declaration to provide liability immunity to certain individuals and entities (Covered Persons)
against any claim of loss caused by, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from the manufacture,
distribution, administration, or use of medical countermeasures (Covered Countermeasures),
except for claims involving ‘‘willful misconduct’’ as defined in the PREP Act.
That’s different than say, the flu vaccine. And then, ahem, since the Covid-19 virus seemed to be a result of this experiment, [Project Defuse](https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/21066966/defuse-proposal.pdf ‘we will introduce appropriate human specific cleavage sites – Experimental testing of targeted immune boosting using humanized mice.’) that the [New York Times](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/06/03/opinion/covid-lab-leak.html ‘The Pandemic Probably Started in a Lab.These 5 Key Points Explain Why.’) says explains the virus, people considering the vaccine should be aware that the vaccine may be the 2nd experiment, while Covid-19 itself is the 1st.
While I am not anti-vaccine, I am anti this “We’re the elites, and we have this figured out”. Way I see it, “they’re the elites that got us into this mess, which resulted in over 1.2 million homicides”.
