I want to invest in Detroit, in a cash flowing property, and that's a long drive from where I live. My home market is high investment, and I want to diversify in cash flowing properties. I am not able to visit/fly every weekend, so I'm looking to get help from people who can walk the house and inspect it for me.
Appraisers are regulated and will probably be an overkill, if I want a preliminary look into the overall condition of the property. Are there any such people who can actually do the inspection for me? I'm looking for ideas who I should approach for this.
I don't know any reliable contractor in Detroit yet.

An investor friendly/versed agent should be able to do a video/virtual walk through for you.
Do not remotely invest in Detroit. If you are not familiar with the area it could easily be a huge disaster
Hire an agent that also has in-house management.
You need a hands on partner! You’ll be the cash heavy part. He’ll need to be your handyman/ property manager.
You’ll need to be able to bring deals to him, and he needs to be able handle light fixes and be the property manager.
Yall both benefit by the portfolio growing!
Gig workers on Craigslist maybe.
Maybe try to find an investor friendly agent? It won’t be an in-depth inspection but they can spot major issues.
Can I ask you why you want to invest in Detroit?
