I’ve been talking with different business owners recently, and I keep hearing very different numbers when it comes to website hosting and ongoing maintenance.

Some pay almost nothing, others pay a monthly fee to an agency or freelancer — and the services included seem to vary a lot.

Out of curiosity, I wanted to ask people here who own or manage a website:
    – How much do you pay per month for hosting & maintenance? (EUR or USD)
    – Is it a simple business site or an e-commerce site?
    – What’s actually included in that price (updates, backups, edits, support, etc.)?

For context (so the discussion is grounded), I think personally charge
    – €30/month for regular websites
    – Up to €120/month for e-commerce sites where products are managed

That usually covers hosting, backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, and small content changes.

I’m genuinely interested in how others experience this and what feels reasonable from a website owner’s point of view.

Appreciate any perspectives or experiences you’re willing to share.
