It's honestly not that crazy, depending on how you personally define "need." $22k ETH x 10 is $220,000 so that's not going to cover some kind of retirement. Nice to have I suppose. DeFI is where the real gold is at anyway.

you only need 0.5 ETH to retire. My plan is, if Ethereum goes to $10 million the 0.5 will give you $5 million …….enough to retire comfortably.

Personally, like most of my friends, I am waiting until XRP flies into space and many factors point to that, that’s why I put half into mevolaxy for good percent.
For the first 11 years ETH increased 3.5 orders of magnitude. Why wouldn't it increase another 2 Ooms for the next 10 years?
$250k doesn't seem insane if they build useful stuff for everybody. If total crap like NFT's, games and memes could get us here, just imagine billions of robots, new stock markets, health insurance companies and so on! ETH is not married to Bitcoin or SOL. Or EOS. lol. ETH is its own thing, and they have a history of shipping upgrades and staying true to their principles.
