Hi! I’m looking to maximize benefits from my outside sales role. I won’t get reimbursed for expenses (generous compensation instead), so gas will be my biggest expense. I’m leaning toward the Citi Custom Cash right now and putting 5% on gas.
• Current cards:
• Credit Union, $30,000, February 2020 (2% flat cash back)
• Kohl’s, $1000, March 2017
• FICO Score: 796
• Oldest account age: e.g. 8 years 10 months
• Chase 5/24 status: 0/24
• Income: $150,000+ (commission-based, so variable)
• Average monthly spend and categories:
• dining $100
• groceries: $0
• gas: $300
• travel: $0
• other: $100 (donuts, etc.)
• Open to Business Cards: No
• What's the purpose of your next card? Cash Back
• Do you have any cards you've been looking at? Citi Custom Cash (5% tag on gas)
• Are you OK with category spending or do you want a general spending card? Category is fine, I can use my 2% CU card on anything.
