I’m writing this with a heavy heart.
I am in this phase in life where I do not know what to do. Working for someone is like killing my self each day. My heart burns. I worked for a great consulting firm. Quit it to pursue my startup. Only for it to fail . I mean I had to close it down due to certain regulations. I’ve tried many things in various fields. I know I’m talented. I get hired by many clients to help them with their projects. However, my heart burns it’s like WTF DO I OWN? What do I have that’s mine?
I’m willing to sacrifice my life for something but I don’t know what to start anymore. Sorry I just had to vent. That’s it thanks for reading

I hear you. I feel very similarly and I guess am somewhere similar in life too. I’m trying to start something of my own cause I literally feel some version of anxiety not doing it but there’s also anxiety associated with going all in.
I’ve realised over the past few weeks this feeling is loneliness. Don’t get me wrong, I have family, friends, partner who’re generally very supportive. But you need someone to build with, another voice outside of your own.
Anyway, wishing you all the best. Take a beat, allow yourself to return to some level of peace and get back at it. And if my story rings true, find someone to build with.
Also, would be more than happy to connect with anyone who’s looking for, or to be, a cofounder.
Your struggles today are training you for the level you are meant to reach👍👍Be Positive Be Excited what’s coming next.
Find a very narrow, highly niche, but somewhat common problem with your past clients. Advertise the solution to that problem. It should be so narrow that you can’t build a whole business on it, but that’s ok. You only need to sell enough to pay one person: you.
Expansion into other capabilities can come later.
What do you own? First, you yourself (physically). Plus knowledge, experience (by the way, experience of a failed startup is also an asset), reputation, relationships with loved ones and partners. (Many people don’t have this).
The task remains to realize all of this in a way that is mutually beneficial to you and consumers. This will give you the opportunity to expand the list of your physical property (things, rights, etc.).
Venting is good!
Helps with letting emotions dissipate and reasoning resume.
Starting back at square one.
So where do you want to start?
I.E., What’s next?
