What kind of moronic American would still be in Venezuela? Unless they think it is now their country which seems plausible for about 70% of Americans

So when Don says he now controls Venezuela, what he actually means he has 0 control, given there’s no boots on the ground there?

He doesn’t realize that there’s no control without occupation, and that’s the really difficult bit.

    3. Their President was just kidnapped. Of course they are going to crackdown like this.

We put Japanese citizens in internment camps during WW2.

Big surprise! The Idiot in Chief will explain its part of his plan. The biggest best bodacious plan ever.

    5. Venezuela’s instability rarely stays isolated, especially with its massive oil reserves. Even small disruptions or sanctions shifts can ripple through crude prices and lift energy stocks as geopolitical risk gets repriced.
Main question is that market underestimating how quickly this could turn into a real supply shock?

In a vacuum (created by Trump) every faction and militia will try and stake a claim to territory in the country. Soon Venezuela will be in civil war as the factions clash.

Well, we had it for about a week, which is twice as long as I thought we’d have it.

    8. We’ve got gangs of armed paramilitaries harassing and killing Americans in the streets here in America, too.

    9. The dumbfuck strikes again. FFS. Greenland next, you know what. Send ICE . . Would be nice to see those chuds in a real situation.

I thought there are no Americans in Venezuela. My understanding was they were working remotely from home running Venezuela with AI.

    11. I feel like just a bit of context is important here: **XOM** and **COP** have zero exposure to Venezuela, **VLO** and **PSX** only buy it for their refineries _when it’s available_, but they can easily switch to Canadian and Mexican heavy sour. **CVX** is the only one who is actually producing in Venezuela, but it is <5% of their worldwide production.

Venezuelan oil currently makes up about 1% of worldwide consumption, and 80+% of that tiny fraction goes to China.

The US oil industry gives about 0.1% of a fuck about Venezuela right now.

    12. I’m shocked! I thought this would be a cakewalk like every other government overthrow.
