Breaking down gas price drop

GasBuddy reports the cost of fuel has dropped consistently for the last six weeks across the country.

The average price per gallon in Tulsa has dropped 8 cents in the last week to an average of $2.14 a gallon. News On 6’s Amy Slanchik spoke to experts who say this drop is not impacted by what’s happening in Venezuela.

“Venezuela is going to be a long term supply story, not a 2026 gas price story,” says GasBuddy petroleum analyst Matt McClain.

    1. Sadly, people just don't understand what's actually happening. When gas prices drop drastically, it's because of supply and demand. The current need for gas is historicaly low because the economy is shambles and unemployment is skyrocketing. When economy is booming and people are working demand for gas is high and so are prices. The economy was expanding and doing good when President Biden was in office but now lying criminal conman has drove us into a depression.
