Hi all. I’ve had Ruberik on my watch last for the last several months and just today, I finally dipped my toes in to start a position. I am by no means competent in the space (data security/ cloud data management), but am enticed by their growth and great margins. I am providing a link in the comments to their Q3 earnings report and 2 prior RBRK threads from this sub in the past.
Key Q3 earnings takeaways-
Subscription ARR grew 34% yoy to $1.35B.
3rd quarter revenue grew 48% yoy to $350M.
2,638 customers with $100k or more in subscription ARR; 27% increase yoy.
Upon announcing Q3 earnings the share price spiked 25% to 92.77 and has since slowly gave back all those gains. Share price closed at $68.14 at the end of today’s trading session.
I understand they will be trying to claw market share away from several more established players in the space (Okta, Panw, Zscaler, Crowdstrike, etc) … anybody else think they can continue chipping away & gaining market share?
Open to any and all discussion; especially from those with knowledge of the industry and/or work in the field and use their products.

I started a position before earnings, added more after earnings, and I’m about to buy more. Seems like they have a niche that works. If they keep it up the market will eventually come to them.
It’s a solid growth story but the valuation still swings like crazy. Not a bad starter position if you’re patient, but yeah… competition in that space is no joke.
Wow, it’s funny you make this post- I was thinking about making a post about RBRK as well.
It’s to my understanding that they aren’t necessarily competitors with your CRWD and PANW type companies. Essentially, Rubrik assumes everyone will get hacked or mess up, so you should have a plan for when it happens. It’s more of a backup/recovery company than threat prevention. I believe their closest competitor is Cohesity (which is private)
What caught my eye was the P/S Valuation. 11.4 feels low compared to others in the industry. CRWD’s is 25.44, PANW’s is 13.83, ZS is 12.06. And none of those are growing as fast as RBRK.
I believe that this niche they are in could be very profitable and essential to any sized company- and they’re positioning themselves as a leader.
Anyways, looks like we will both be building a position at the same time. Hope it works out for us.
