Just wanted to flag this in case anyone else is effected. EdFinancial recently sent out an email for the reportable interest paid to the US Dept of Education for the tax deduction. The number they stated matches the 2024 1098-E, not 2025. The 2025 1098-E they sent out is correct, but the email is wrong.
Also sent EdFinancial a message on the contact us page to flag it – but make sure you are using the right number here in case this issue was widespread.
