The regular monthly payment amount listed on my student loans is different than what I have been paying and it’s different from the amount due. Does anyone know what that means?

My amount due is 255, my “regular monthly payment” is 336, but my actual payments have been 348 for almost a year. Is the regular monthly payment an average of all my previous payments or something like that?

It’s not really a rant, I just don’t understand what the difference is

    1. You are slightly ahead of schedule because you have been paying more than is required. *WHY* are you paying $348 instead of what they’re billing you?
