Bloomberg) — President Donald Trump announced a 10% tariff on European countries rallying to Denmark’s side in his pursuit of Greenland.
Trump threatened in a social media post to impose the tariff Feb. 1 and raise the tariff to 25% in June unless “a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.”
The tariffs will apply to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and Finland, he said.

Placing tarrifs on Denmark also means doing so on the entire European Union.

There’s no sense here in Europe that this can be negotiated. Greenland and its people are not “up for sale” and never will be. He can threaten all he wants, and blow up the markets if he wants, but I think we’re all fed up of dealing with his antics now.
