> Trump, in a social-media post on Saturday, said that the 10% tariffs would go into effect on Feb. 1 and would apply to all goods sent to the U.S. from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Finland. The tariffs will increase to 25% on June 1 and remain in place until a deal is reached for what he called the “complete and total purchase” of Greenland, Trump said.

So I have to pay more taxes because this rapist won’t take no for an answer? Europe just needs to move on already. Find new trade partners. No deal this guy makes is worth the paper it’s written on because he’s going to throw a temper tantrum next week and alter the deal. Extortion, plain and simple.

10%? Not impressed. Start with 50% and, well… lets be honest, US citizens will pay anyways so who cares? If he wants to tax his own citizens, I am all for that, let them suffer for the choice they made voting for him or being passive and not voting at all, aka being complicit. No deal now or in the future, tax us 250% like he did with China and see TACO squirm back.

I wish the SC would do its fucking job and rule this nonsense unconstitutional already. “Hey i’m not getting my way…let me fuck over Americans again..”

NATO member sanctions other NATO members for sending NATO troops to NATO territory…
So, considering the EU is a single market, how does this work, exactly?

Whatever. We stand with Greenland! 🇬🇱
Anyway, EU has trade deals in place with Canada, Mercosur, Japan, NZ, Morocco, South Africa, etc. India agreement should be in place shortly.
America, on the other hand, will soon be alone.

Too late Trump, the EU learned all about this last year and now they are making deal with China.

As usual, when he doesn’t the fuck what to do, his answer is tariffs. I think that this a tacit acknowledgement on his part that he won’t be able to push congress and the amry into straight attacking an ally.
So by publishing tariffs he is able to save face.
Now the matter is, what will Europe do against this new threat; this is the ABSOLUTE reason why the anti-coercition instrument was prepared. Now is the time to activate it. And should the far right pester they would be labled before the general public as what they’ve always been, meaning traitors.

Hint to Europe and other allies, it may be to your benefit to stop buying F35s. Especially with the orange one in charge. Honestly getting rid of the ones that you already have may be to your benefit.

Trump STILL doesn’t understand how tarriffs work, but, in his defence, he’s a fucking idiot.
He’s making the serious error in thinking the US is too big to fail, but countries are already exploring ways to work with countries other than the US.

He even explicitly stated that he will charge ‘them’ tariffs. Someone still hasn’t explained to Donald how tariffs work.
I saw a news conference this morning from Copenhagen, where several US senators were trying to allay fears and were quite certain that an invasion of Greenland would not happen.
I can’t wait to see him hoisted by his own petard, or something similar.

IMO, Trump doesn’t know where Greenland is or what resources it has or doesn’t have. It’s about leaving NATO.
He has long claimed that the other NATO nations don’t pay their weight. He couldn’t get that to change because it’s a treaty, and we can’t just leave because leaving requires either a Senate supermajority of 67% (IIRC), which they don’t have, or an act of Congress, which also won’t happen.
Given that, if he can’t change the funding, and can’t leave, that leaves doing something so egregious that NATO dissolves and reorganizes without the US.

Donald Trump is King of the United States.
He can do what he wants.
No President in history has done, and no President legally can do, the things he does.
So let’s call him King.
Congress means nothing.
Supreme Court is overweighted with corrupt judges.
Kings don’t need three branches. They need mirrors, crowns, and kingdoms.

Raising taxes on Americans will somehow force Denmark to give up territory? Trump will back down. The E.U. must remain strong. History shows what happens when fascist leaders are appeased.
Instead US consumers must feel pain because Trump has a fantasy of colonizing a European territory

He really thinks tariffs are just a magic wand to get whatever he’s wants…
They’re going to give him a big middle finger for this and just continue figuring out how to remove the US from the global economy as much as possible.
