I'm trying to find a good high risk auto insurance but most places won't even give me a quote, mainly big name companies and some smaller companies like dairyland. I read that a independent insurance agent might be able to help me better but I was wondering if there is any truth to that? I'm located in WV, had 3 car accidents that was my fault(new nightshift worker and I will admit I was a bit stupid about it so save the nasty comments) but two hit and runs that wasn't my fault.

    Good high risk auto insurance?

    1. Probably the assigned risk pool lol. Progressive and Geico can be take everyone. Gainsco and Kemper are two you might not have heard of along with Bristol West but again 3 at faults and two hit and Runs and a rolling 3 year period is gonna suck whoever you can get. I’m throwing out names but there are others out there and again if your at the stage of no one giving you a quote just keep trying direct to get them to send you to agents or try more agents

West Virgina actually has a very responsive Insurance Departmnet which may surprise a lot of people so you actually could call them and they can point you in the right direction of an agent or the assigned risk pool

    2. Yes. An independent agent here will save you a ton of time and energy. They’ll have access to carriers that will not provide you a quote directly, while being able to shop the market for you.

Just to clarify, you have a total of 5 accidents? 3 at fault and 2 hit and run claims? Were the hit and run ever identified, ghost cars, or parked losses?

WV is tough. There’s not a lot of players in the market, so it really narrows your options.
