We bought our house five years ago. The seller built it himself. Picked the blueprint, crafted the woodworking bits and installed them. Even finished projects that weren't complete when they listed it and we didn't request, like custom drawer fronts that matched the rest of the bedroom cabinets and a counter replacement in the laundry room.
We love it so much, and are grateful we bought it.
I'd love to tell the sellers that. But, should I? I don't want to come off creepy.
Should I write an appreciation letter to the peeps we bought our house from?
Thx
Send gratitude letter to seller. Nope or hell yeah

Hell yeah send it! That dude put his heart into building that place and would probably love knowing someone actually appreciates all the custom work he did. Most builders never hear back from buyers so it’d probably make his whole year
Just keep it short and sweet – mention a few specific things you love about the house and thank him for the care he put into it. Not creepy at all when it’s genuine appreciation
Yes! We all need to be putting more kindness out into the world!
I’m sure they’d love to hear from you. I stayed friends with the lady who sold us the house we raised our kids in until her passing 6 months ago at age 96. The relationship was meaningful to both of us.
Yes! Nothing creepy about that.
As a designer I say hello yes!! Nothing makes me happier than someone loving my work.
They’d love to hear from you
That they put all that work into it and sold it, I think they would love to know their work is still being loved.
I think it would be wonderful, I would love a letter like that
SO sweet. Yes!!!
Hell yes
That small random act of kindness will be remembered by this person for the rest of their lives 💙
