I am seeing a lot more opposition to the Greenland situation here in Europe than I expected. What has been especially surprising is the reaction of the far right, where there is more opposition than other recent flairs. The strikes on Iran had support on the far right.
With Maduro's kidnapping in Venezuela those on the European far right were especially focussed on Maduro's crimes and ignore the international legality of the whole thing. With Greenland there just isn't any prevailing argument in favor of Trump.
I have seen seen some trying to wager waiting until after the midterms before reacting, some mentions of splitting up Greenland 50/50 EU/US. Most people however seem to favor some type of confrontation with the US over Greenland.
There is seemingly a shift from culture wars amongst the right of center to some argument about Europe being too weak, and dependent on the USA, so we need to get more XYZ and do more XYZ. Perhaps this is an unrelated development as we can also see it happen live, Orban for example is about to lose in Hungary.
At this rate, support for harder measures such as the ACI seems to be inevitable. What I am also surprised by is the focus on hurting the American economy. Whereas last time the focus seemed on tit-for-tat.
TLDR: Opposition to Trump's plans in Greenland is universal in Europe even amongst the far right.
3W: Even the fascists.
The Greenland situation feels a bit different

This belongs in r/politics, not r/economy. Mods let this sub get taken over.
*Greenland, my precious.*
Even Meloni changed her mind:

Nobody likes a tyrant. I think the world thought it was just far right making a bunch of noise at first. Now they see Trump is a tyrant and anyone apart of that movement is also a threat
Problem with isolationist power politics. Its all fun and games to kick people out and take their shit until someone else comes along and starts taking your shit and kicking you out
How much of this is tied to race? Taking over and bombing the dark countries is okay but don’t mess with the white ones.

The fascists only “oppose” it because they’d have no electoral path to power supporting it.
