Raoul Pal: Why We’re Seeing a Recent Down Trend In The Market
As part of the 5-hour Ark Invest Big Idea Summit posted on January 25th, 2022, famed macro investor Raoul Pal sat down for a 35-minute discussion with Ark Invest’s Crypto Analysts Yassine Elmandjra, in which they discussed numerous topics including the entrepreneurial spirit of crypto, the tribalism of certain coins, specifically Bitcoin, and Raoul’s overall macro outlook on what caused the down trend. Yassine and Raoul did not see eye to eye on many topics, which made for a refreshing and healthy interview, and Raoul indirectly discussed his concern for the tribalistic nature of Bitcoin and being bashed for not sharing the communal view that Bitcoin can save the world. This seemed to be a touchy subject, as earlier this week, Raoul Pal took harsh criticism from Bitcoin Bull Gregg Foss, to which Raoul revealed that because of the bitcoin community’s close minded approach, he now only owns 1 full bitcoin, a comment that shocked many within the crypto community. Nonetheless, Raoul gave valuable insight to what he views as one of the main causes of the recent downturn and where he sees the market going. Listen to what he had to say.
