New van, hit the corner of our garage which broke window, there is a tiny bit of damage to the frame. Claim that as glass damage or accident? Not sure how that works? It isn't really an accident perse (or maybe it is). Just thought I duck my rows before calling insurance. I suppose this question is really for them to figure out? Its a new insurance company for us for a Sprinter van which we obviously have no business driving.
Better to claim glass or accident?

It’s a collision loss as you hit a fixed object and it will be at-fault as well. I would strongly recommend getting an estimate and seeing what your deductible is before you turn this in, given the climate right now. If you can pay for it out of pocket, I would.
It is 100% an at-fault collision loss, not a glass only comprehensive claim. Don’t claim it as anything else because thats fraud and they’ll know as soon as they see the damage anyway.
Now, if something would have flown and hit the window and that is all you are claiming, it would be comprehensive coverage. If you file a collision claim is should be recorded as an at-fault collision accident.
