Are people still paying $100+ a month for their cell phone bills? I was talking to my boyfriend’s dad this week and he told me that’s what he pays and I was honestly shocked. I didn’t realize plans were still that expensive.
I switched to Visible from Straight Talk a while ago and it has been one of my favorite frugal swaps. I pay about $30 a month total for my iPhone and my Apple Watch. My watch has its own plan so I can use it without my phone nearby.
Their base plan is $25 a month for unlimited everything including hotspot. I actually use the hotspot to work remotely so I don’t even pay for separate home internet anymore.
Curious what everyone here is paying for phone service and if you’ve found anything cheaper or better! I'm always looking to save money!

100? Most I’ve done is 35/m for unlimited, but recently switched to annual and that’s about 400/yr. I only like visible and us mobile. Boost is probably ok but they don’t have coverage for me.
I’m hoping that is including a phone payment plan and not just raw network plan cost.
Yes, but there are 6 lines on it. 🙂
Visible had a deal at year end and i paid $225 for a year on visible+ whatever their highest tier is.
Check out US Mobile. You can use AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile network, and can switch between them a couple times a month for free.
I pay like $8 / line for shares pool of a couple gigs, and adding a gig is like $1 or something. It’s great.
$20/month on Mint for the 15gb plan. Last year I switch to them and paid $15/mo for unlimited on their new customer plan. When the promo was up, the price would be $30/mo which is still fantastic. I saw I rarely went over 10gb. So I downgraded to the 15gb plan. I used to be with T-Mo (same network as Mint) and I was paying $80+/mo for essentially the same service. It came with a lot of extras, but I don’t miss a single one of them.
$25 for Verizon prepaid (no unlimited data, but I don’t need it).
Paying $150 for 7 lines from an old T-Mobile unlimited plan. If I could find something cheaper with equivalent service I would happily switch.
I’m with T-Mobile single line it’s $65… Any tips to lower it?
Mine costs $68. I haven’t yet jumped on the super cheap plan train, but I’m getting closer to considering it. I used to heavily use the perks with my T-Mobile plan but it’s lessening and there are reasonably cheap hassle free alternatives (international roaming, free domestic Internet on most planes, free streaming services)
