The government should’ve never bailed out the auto companies during Bush’s tenure. They should’ve failed then and maybe actually learn something. Heck, they’re still basking under the protection of the Chicken Tax when I’d love it if I had the kind of choices in small pickups you can buy in South America.
I’d love it if “git gud” was something that actually applied to American companies rather than video games and memes 😒

We will see if this accomplishes anything. With Trump looking to do whatever it is he wants to do (I am sure he does not know) Canada had to do something. Are Chinese cars the answer? Maybe not but it may prove to be a valid negotiating tactic. If Trump does not want or need us we can eventually find others.
