Multi-utility products that are affordable and relatively safe are my favorite. Sal suds can be used as window, floor, shower, toilet, dish and car cleaner based on how you dilute it.

I realized I was spending hundreds a year on random cleaners. This keeps it below $100/yr. Plus keeping track of all of the random different bottles adds more to the clutter, you accidentally buy duplicates, etc. This keeps it simple. Saves space. Saves money.

    1. Also works as laundry detergent. I buy in gallon portions because it’s most bang for the buck and lasts forever.

Glad it’s working well for you! I can’t wrap my mind around fir & spruce scented dishes

    3. This feels so much like an undercover ad.

Edit: This is for sure an ad and I hope the mods take it down. Also, fuck this stuff… buy Dr. Bronners

    4. I buy the Peppermint liquid soap for use in the shower. But I also buy a soap bar of the same, as it seems the bar lasts longer than the liquid, and I can split between the two.

    5. Eh, just because you can use one product for everything doesn’t make it ideal at cleaning everything. You want your dishes and clothing and literally everything else to smell like Pine cleaner? I wouldn’t. I also imagine this product isn’t ideally tailored for cleaning your car without removing wax or protective coatings.

Multipurpose cleaner for in the house: 1gal Pinalen Soothe Lavender concentrate – $7.50, dilute in a spray bottle and also used for mopping

Dishes and greasy areas like stove top: Dawn Ultra 70 fl. oz. – $10

Car wash: Turtle Wax Zip Wax Car Wash & Wax 100 fl. oz. – $6, (has other outdoor uses too). Another winner is Meguiars Gold Class 64 fl. oz. – $10

Laundry Detergent: Kirkland Signature Ultra Clean 194 fl. oz. – $16

There’s a LOT of value in these and they cover a lot of my cleaning needs. About $40 for all of the above items.

    6. Bronners is best soap. I remember reading that label as a kid in the bath. I get a gallon of tea tree every year and use it for general cleaning and shampoo occasionally.
