Assuming I’m working for a client that wants 8 bespoke videos for their socials (that I edit and produce myself), is $2k a month a valid price?

They seem to be wanting to decrease the price, I just don’t know what the market rates are for marketing content agencies?

How much should I be charging a client for posting 8 custom videos per week?

If you are in a high-cost-of-living area or your client is a B2B firm with high ticket prices, $2k a month is actually a bargain. You are producing 32 custom videos a month; at $2k, that’s roughly $62 per video. Between filming, editing, captioning, and sourcing audio, you’re likely making less than minimum wage per hour of actual labor.

High-End Markets: For $2k, most agencies would give them maybe 4-8 videos total per month.

Low-End/Outsourced Markets: If they are comparing you to someone on Fiverr based in a different time zone, they’ll always think you’re “expensive.”

If they’re trying to decrease the price, don’t just cut the fee, cut the deliverables. Offer them 4 videos a week for $1,200. This protects your hourly rate and shows them that “bespoke” production is not a commodity they can haggle over like a bulk bag of rice.
