Usually my travel cards are for fun… but my child has just been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder that will require frequent trips to the nearest research hospital (2 hours away from home).
I want to use a credit card for these stays in the most productive way to save money on the hotel costs. This is not luxury travel, it's just basic necessities.
The hospital is surrounded by three Marriott properties and a Choice hotel.
What does this sub have to say about using either a Chase Sapphire card or maybe one of the Marriott cards for this kind of situation. Status really doesn't matter here since they are select style hotels, but earning free nights is probably my biggest goal due to frequency.
THANK YOU!

Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless ($95 annual fee) is probably going to be the optimal workhorse card. The new cardholder bonus is currently 5 free nights at hotels up to 50,000 points per night by putting $3,000 in spend on the card in the first three months.
