I'm moving into a new apartment in a couple weeks, and there's a Costco, Sam's Club, and a BJ's all 10-20 minutes away from where I'm gonna be living. I've been thinking about signing up for a membership with one of them, but idk which one.
I'm most familiar with Costco bc that's what my family used, but I also haven't set foot in one in over ten years so I know a lot has changed. I haven't been to Sam's club since I was a kid, and I've only been to BJ's once and didn't even know about it until a few years ago.
What would you guys recommend? For some extra context, I will be living with a friend/roommate who has cats, and our apartment has some storage, but not a lot. I keep hearing different opinions, and I can't make up my mind. Pls help.

BJ's vs Sam's Club vs Costco: which membership do I want?

Costco will refund your membership if you don’t like it, so there’s no risk in signing up with them and trying it for a month ot two.

    2. I can’t speak to BJ’s since we don’t have them in my area.

I think for the Costco vs Sam’s club debate it really depends on a couple of things. I live in a smaller apartment with a smaller fridge so buying in “massive bulk” is tough for me and the new Sam’s they just opened up (which happens to be like 10 mins from me) only does Scan and Go so the only waits are when i’m buying alcohol and they need to check my ID otherwise i’m in and out with my 4 or 5 things

That plus the gas price and there never being a line for gas was the deal breaker for me and why I went with them

NOW I do agree with a lot of ppl that the Kirkland brand is usually “better” quality than a Members Mark but it’s not as big a deal to me so that’s not super important but if that is super important I think you gotta side with Costco and I personally don’t notice but my friends who are more “food snobby” style ppl say Costco meats are significantly better but I just can’t tell the difference BUT that doesn’t mean you can’t

Also when I was doing Costco before they built the Sam’s Club close to me there was always a decent line and it was enough out of the way it just didn’t make sense to me
